Opening soon: Healing Hands Ranch
After months of preparation, we are now ready to open up our after care facility, Healing Hands Ranch for business! We are now accepting and reviewing applications from Deaf prisoners from all over America to come and become our first residents. Healing Hands Ranch is the world's only and first aftercare facility exclusively for Deaf prisoners. When Deaf prisoners come and live at Healing Hands Ranch, they will be called residents. Our residents will receive a wide variety of support, training and bible teaching to help them become more prepared for re-entry into society. Each resident will have individualized program goals set up to achieve before they graduate from the program. How long they live at Healing Hands Ranch depends on how much training they need and how long it would take to achieve these goals. Please pray for us as we start this brand new ministry for the Lord's glory!
The Main Office
Last month, we introduced you to the "B" dorm. This month, we'd like to introduce you to the main office at Healing Hands Ranch. The main office that you see in the picture was at one time a home for unwed mothers. Unfortunately, several years ago a tornado destroyed the home. The people that owned the home tried to rebuild the house but they did not have enough money. They were only able to build the outside of the house. The inside is not finished. It is a "shell" house today.
When we bought Healing Hands Ranch, we decided to convert the house into our main office. When it is finished, it will have 4 or 5 private offices, a storage area, a receiption area, a break room, a copy machine room, a video phone center and a board room. It will become the hub of Healing Hands Ranch and the national offices of Deaf Prison Ministries Network when it is finished. We are praying for funds and labor from people to help us finish building the shell house to become our main office. We estimate it will cost about $50,000 for materials to finish the building. We are trusting the Lord to make it possible for us to be able to finish the shell house so we can move the office from the "B" dorm to this building in the near future.
Prayer Needs
Starting this month, we will list our top prayer needs so you can be praying for us that the Lord will soon meet those needs:
