A BIG Thank You!!
We mentioned in the last eNewsletter that we are now ready to open up our after care facility, Healing Hands Ranch for residents. This would have not been possible without the help of the following people who have put in many hours of volunteer help and materials to get Healing Hands Ranch ready:

- Luce Family: We would like to thank Dennis and Bevery Luce, and their daughter, Lisa, for contributing materials and labor for completely remodeling the "B" Dorm. The "B" Dorm is currently being used as our temporary offices and will be reverted back to a 2 bedroom dormitory for our residents after the main office is completed.
- Hands In Christ Deaf Ministry: We would like to thank the Hands In Christ Deaf Ministry from Lavaca, Arkansas for sending a team of volunteers who came to Healing Hands Ranch from June 25 - 30th. The Arkansas group came and cleaned out several of our buildings, fixed up our flower beds, built a new deck, rebuilt a shower and gave a concert to a local church. They arrived with a 16' trailer filled with donated items for HHR including a new weedeater, zero-turn riding mower and a push mower, and several other items. It felt like an early Christmas! Also joining with the Hands In Christ Deaf Ministry is Marie Wheeler and Debbie McQuiggan from Indiana.
- Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church: We would like to thank Woodhaven Baptist Deaf Church from Houston, Texas for sending several teams to Healing Hands Ranch in the past year. They have spruced up Dorm "A", giving it a new coat of paint and new steps for the deck. In this picture, you see a team that came the same time as the Hands In Christ Deaf Ministry to help with the work and cooking meals for the entire team from Hands in Christ Deaf Ministry.
- Jimmie Quincy: We would like to thank Jimmie from Arlington, Texas for coming to Healing Hands Ranch last weekend. Jimmie added more flowers to our flowerbeds and thoroughly cleaned out Dorm "C". Dorm "C" will be the first dorm used by our new incoming residents and we needed to have it ready.
We're In The News!
A sharp eye by our board treasurer, Jim Dermon, spotted us in the news! One of our biggest supporters, Mark Ehrlichmann, was interviewed about his involvement with ministering to the Deaf in prison and mentioned Deaf Prison Ministries Network in his interview. Read all about it here!
Prayer Needs
- Pray for the first incoming group of new residents. We are already getting applications from potiential residents and will be making decisions very soon to invite them to come and live at Healing Hands Ranch.
- Pray for funds and labor help to finish the shell house for our future main office. We estimate this will cost $50,000 for materials.
- Pray for an increase in our donations to cover our operating expenses.
- Pray for a pick-up truck. We need a pick up truck to be able to transport materials from town to the ranch.
Thank you for your prayers and support!
